Kurow Meridian Fun Day

Over 400 junior rugby players and nearly 600 supporters converged on Kurow for the annual  Kurow Meridian Fun Day.  The racecourse fields were the scene of fifty five games.  The halves were shortened to twenty minutes each, as teams played either two or three games in the course of the morning.

The Kurow Meridian Fun Day has been held for a number of years, with the focus on celebrating junior rugby and Meridian’s relationship with North Otago Rugby and the Waitaki District.

The celebrity guest for 2010 was the currently recuperating All Black Andrew Hore.  Andrew made himself available for signing autographs and for photo opportunities.

The Kurow Rugby Club Junior Advisory Board prepared a barbequed sausage for all the players, who also received a gift-bag from Meridian.
