North Otago Women's Rugby Coaching Position

North Otago Rugby Union Women’s Coach

The North Otago Rugby Union is looking for a coach for our very promising women’s team for the 2016 club season.

The team plays in the Dunedin competition on a home and away basis. There is an exciting mix of talent, experience and cultures currently in the team. The coach will ideally be ambitious and have up-to-date coaching experience.

The successful applicant will be required to attend two practices per week and match day on Saturdays.

In the first instance, please contact Colin Jackson at the NORFU with your expression of interest.

NO vs Buller Preview

A rejuvenated Buller XV showed after Saturday’s comprehensive 36-14 defeat of Poverty Bay in Westport, that it is slowly retained the form that took it to the Meads Cup final last season. Buller this season won its opening game against King Country, 32-20 but then lost its next three games to West Coast (7-21), Wairarapa-Bush (13-14), and Wanganui (9-35) before regaining winning form last Saturday. Next Saturday’s game will be a crucial one for North Otago as its remaining games after Buller see it down to play South Canterbury and competition leaders Mid Canterbury. Currently they top four are Mid Canterbury (22), South Canterbury (20), Wanganui (18), and Horowhenua-Kapiti (17). The next seven teams led by North Otago (13) have only a four points spread, Wairarapa-Bush (12), West Coast(11), King Country (11), Thames Valley (10), Buller (10) and Poverty Bay (9).
