Athletic Marist firmed as favourites for the Citizens Shield when it beat second placed Old Boys 35-31 on Saturday. Valley moved into third place with a 52-26 win over an unconvincing Excelsior side while Maheno retained its position in the top four with a 54-7 win over Athletic Marist Colts.
